There are great nudist spots all across the country. My wife and I love traveling and visiting these great places and meeting nudists everywhere. Sometimes, even local nudists don’t know what is available near them. This leads to the question, “Are there any West Virginia nude beaches or nude resorts?”
There are not a lot of nudist spots for West Virginia nudists but they still have options. While there are no public West Virginia nude beaches there is a highly-rated West Virginia nudist resort. This option gives nudists plenty of chances to soak up the sun, relax, and socialize in the buff.
So let’s take a look at what this state has to offer the West Virginia nudist. We will look at West Virginia nude beach options, and West Virginia nudist resort options. We will also look at some travel options and some wilder West Virginia alternative lifestyle options.
West Virginia Nude Beaches
There are no official public West Virginia nude beaches. Since West Virginia is a fairly rural state, many might be tempted to find a secluded spot and just spend some time in the buff. While you may get away with this, I would never recommend it since there are other alternatives to West Virginia nude beaches.
According to the website findlaw.com, West Virginia defines indecent exposure as “an intentional exposure of private parts under circumstances that are likely to cause affront or alarm. The penalties for indecent exposure are higher if the exposure was done for the purpose of sexual gratification.”
Minimum penalties for indecent exposure are up to 90 days in jail, a $250 fine, and an indecent exposure record. I would really prefer not to risk it and go to a spot where it was legal to go nude.
According to West Virginia Public Broadcasting, “West Virginia state law does not specifically prohibit women going topless.” So women can at least free their nipples if they want to. However, this can be rather uncomfortable if you are the only one doing it.
I would think that West Virginia nudists would be much more comfortable going to a place where nudity is both legal and accepted. I recommend checking out the West Virginia Nudist Resorts section. West Virginia has a wonderful nudist resort where you can sun yourself in the buff and meet fellow nudists.
West Virginia Nudist Resorts
West Virginia nudists do have a great option when it comes to West Virginia nudist resorts. Check out the Avalon Resort below for details about this awesome nude spot.
We just love nude resorts. There is nothing more relaxing than hanging out with fellow nudists either poolside or in the hot tub. You will never find a group of people that are more inviting and fun to hang out with. Nudist resorts tend to be very accepting of all body types and everyone in general.

The Other Type of Nudists: Swingers Clubs and Resorts in West Virginia
When someone is looking for West Virginia nudist resorts, it is important to take into account what you are looking for. A traditional naturist nudist resort is a completely different experience from a swinger clothing-optional resort. Going to the wrong type may lead to some unexpected surprises for you.
This article is geared towards West Virginia nudist resorts but if you are more interested in the swinger experience you can check out West Virginia Swinger Clubs and Swinger Resorts.
In a nutshell, naturists nudists look at nudity as a natural state of being that is not tied to sex. Therefore these places can be family-orientated and sexual activity is not encouraged or allowed. Swingers look at nudity as being totally about sexuality. Sexual activity is allowed and encouraged.
You can read Naturist or Swinger Nude Resorts and Beaches for details on the difference.
You will find that nude beaches and nudist resorts tend to be geared towards naturists. Swinger resorts are definitely for the swingers.
